Spring is in full swing.
I am trying to mount my GoPro bodyboard mount on my Custom X. I haven’t been out bodyboarding since December. I am out of shape and I am heading back to the gym starting tomorrow (I’ve been bad the past two months). I still haven’t been able shake that experience that I had back in October of when I got caught in a riptide and almost drowned. But I am determined not to let it happen this year, especially if I can just increase my endurance if I ever find myself back out in one of those situations.
As the year continues onward, it’s been lackluster. The one crowning jewel I have so far is that I continue to write. Camp NaNoWriMo is off on a good foot and I am making steady progess with work, which is slowly becoming a novella rather than a bunch of short stories. I am hoping to use this as a springboard towards something bigger come November for NaNoWriMo 2016.
But I just realized this afternoon I got about a month until my mini vacation down to Kitty Hawk. I vowed myself to go to the gym today but I actually slept decently for the first time in 3 weeks and elected to follow it. I work tonight for a few hours but I have to get up early tomorrow for an appointment with my new Chevy Spark 2013, meet someone about selling my other car, and then I work at a different store.
Oh yeah. I got a new car finally.
So come May, a month away at best, Kitty Hawk. I got a new car last March, well, a new used car, a 2013 Chevy Spark. It’s red. And right now, fits what I need perfectly. So, I am taking the Spark (which I dubbed Little Red) on its first road trip. I can fit the Bull (the Cuxtom X 42.25 PE bodyboard I bought a few months ago) and a few other bags, and room I hope for some trinkets from the trip back like craft beer or what have you. Unfortunatley, I’ve been keeping an eye on surf forecasts. I am praying for some waves but I am at odds with wetsuit choices. And luckily this seems so small. I have no idea what to where with water tempertures. My 4/3mm fits, snuggly granted, but it fits, but my 3/2mm doesn’t and I am the process of researching if I need to bring my 4/3mm or a 3/2mm wetsuit. And at that point, I need to find a good price on a O’Neill Epic 3/2mm (which is the one I want to buy).
At least I have my vacation to look forward to.
