I know I am not going finish the 50k word goal with NaNoWriMo this year. I currently sit at 14k words and I would have to finish 36k words by the 30th. And know what? I am okay with this.
Real life has a funny way of rearing it’s ugly head. Trying to take care of the dad’s estate take a lot of time. Actually a vast majority of my time. Work has been hectic this month. And just life in general. Finding time to sleep and trying to balance everything is always a challenge. However, I will say this. I have been going to the gym on a regular this month, which is what I have been trying to accomplish all month.
But here’s the prologue of my work: here.
This year’s project has been better though. Last year I only wrote 4,800 words before giving up and hitting a road block with it. But I am still typing. I actually have an outline. And I have written with these charac.ters before with the Camp NaNoWriMo sessions this year. But let’s do a more doable goal, if I can finish this novel before the end of the year, I’ll take it.
While 2016 has pretty much been a shitty year for me, one thing I can take from it is writing. I have written two novellas. I hope to have this novel finished before the end of the year. I am going to attempt to get serious about the amateur blogging thing and freelance writing with MTS again once the New Year begins again. At least 2016 saw me writing more than anything else. Hopefully I can keep it going.
