Alexandria: a Brief Moment in Personal Introspection

This past weekend, I found my little old self in the great state of northern Virginia. Loudon. Alexandria. Springfield. Seeing Washington D.C. from a distance, across the Potomac River. Passing Annandale on the beltway. Actually driving on the beltway. Using Uber for the first time. Going to a concert.

I. Had. Such. A. Good. Time.

It put a lot of things in perspective as well. There is more to Hampton Roads. I could see myself living up in Northern Virginia. Or maybe Richmond. Or maybe the Outer Banks. Who the hell knows. I do need to be near water though.

But right now, I need to go through my house, find a place to move to, and start school in the fall. I have a sort plan. And for once, with me turning thirty this year, I am on the way to finally turning a new leaf and starting a new chapter in my life.
